In addition, she has been awarded. On January 11, 2012, Takei was awarded for being the best wearer of jewelry. This was during the 23rd annual Jewelry Best Wearer Award ceremony in Odaiba, Japan. This award is presented to both male and female celebrities who wear jewelry the most and they are divided into age groups. Takei was ecstatic when she received the award saying that she now feels confident. Her stated goal is to wear and suit jewelry as she gets older. The ceremony is held each year a part of the international jewelry exposition. Jewelry from all over the world is on display and is host to over 1,350 jewelry designers and makers from 35 different nations! This is a huge awards ceremony.
Just several days later, the actress was again rewarded because the famous cosmetics brand called Maquillage once again selected her to be something called their CM character.
Takei had been selected before and she has been given the chance again. The cosmetics brand held a presentation event and Takei at first came on stage with no makeup. But as the event progressed, she changed her appearance. She applied makeup and came on the stage again. It was said that the audience was in total awe and impressed. Takei impressed the audience with the cosmetics brand’s concept called TRUE WOMAN. This is where it gets really interesting. Takei has had a love of makeup since her younger days.
Takei’s promotional activities continued after that event. She attended a public relations event for a new stockings brand called Mirica. Takei was selected as that brand’s new image character. What was interesting was how tightly Takei had been wearing the stockings and this showed how healthy and beautiful her legs are. Takei said at the event that she tries to avoid using the escalator as much as she can. Instead, she chooses to use the stairs. At the event, Takei felt really nervous about wearing a short, yellow dress. She became concerned about how her legs would look. Then reporters tried to ease her nervousness by mentioning that every man would love to see her wear a mini skirt. Takei then became impressed and said that she would wear a mini skirt. This is not surprising since Takei is known for having great fashion sense.
As Valentine’s Day approached, Takei decided to join actress Masami Nagasawa in order to make homemade chocolates. This event happened at a high school in Tokyo on February 12th. Both actresses worked together with some female students as they prepared the chocolates for Lotte’s “Ghana Handmade Valentine Classroom” event.
Nagasawa even received a piece of that chocolate from Takei.

For Takei, this was going to be her first prime time drama appearance.
