Introduction: Japanese idols Sae Miyazawa
Japanese idols Sae Miyazawa and Minami Takahashi (Takamina) are two Japanese idol singers that have spent time with famous girl group AKB48. They have now both graduated from their respective groups. We will start with Sae first. However, this next post will focus on which one of these two idols is prettier. A biography of the two idol singers is also going to be here as well. Sae Miyazawa entered the world on August 13, 1990 and was born in Tokyo. She was a member of the popular all girl group AKB48 and she was part of Team K. Sae has also done some work as an actress. She has been in TV dramas such as Sky of Love and Love Letter. Maybe she enjoys talking or thinking about love perhaps. Her movie debut was in 2009 when she starred in “3 Day Boys.” She is also in the documentary about AKB48 with former member Atsuko Maeda. In 2011 she starred in High School Debut and as of this writing, she made another movie called Ultraman Saga. So between Miyazawa and Takahashi who is prettier? Note: this post does not cover Miyzawa’s time spent with idol group SNH48.
It is interesting that Sae was even a part of the group because when she first auditioned for a spot in AKB48, she was not selected. But we can guess that her persistence paid off and that’s why she is now a member of the group. Sae is currently signed to the Office48 talent agency. She has been a part of several of the band’s singles. A few of these include Give Me Five! The famous Namida Surprise, and BINGO! When Sae is not busy singing or touring, she enjoys bowling, eating, and cleaning her ears. That’s a really weird hobby to have but that’s the way she is.
Let’s take a trip back to 2011 because that is when AKB48 really made a name for themselves on the search rankings on the Internet. Then SNH48 pop music singer Sae Miyazawa was featured on an interesting list of AKB48 members when she was still a member of that group. In July 2011, Yahoo Japan revealed the results for their general search ranking for the first part of that year. But search engine giant Google made a decision to release a more specific ranking that focuses just on search terms for AKB48 members. AKB48 is making big news on the Internet and topping the search rankings is Japan because of hosting big events. One example of such a big event was in 2011 when they held the 3rd General Election earlier that year. This event really helped these AKB48 members climb up the search rankings because they started to get plenty of attention from fans and others who then were able to learn the names of some the new members in addition to the most common names such as Atsuko Maeda and Yuko Oshima. Of course, especially in a nation like Japan where so many are interested in pop culture and entertainment, these celebrities should be exposed to dramas, movies, and music so that they can get more attention from the fans. On that list of the most searched AKB48 members Sae Miyazawa was ranked as the 4th most searched member. Minami Takahashi was ranked at the 6th most searched AKB48 member. I am sure you are curious about who took the number one position for that list. Yuki Kashiwagi was number one on that list followed by Rino Sashihara. However, in 2012, Atsuko Maeda was ranked as the most searched celebrity in Japan!
Japanese idols Sae Miyazawa spends time in sub-unit DiVA
There are moments that every person will remember whether they are a celebrity or not. Japanese singer Sae Miyazawa had one such special moment on August 13, 2011 when she celebrated her birthday with her band mates of AKB48’s sub unit called DiVA. That is the way that the spelling of the group is usually written. And this is the other group that Sae was a member of. The group eventually changed its name to DIVA and disbanded at the end of 2014. There was a concert that was held live at Ai Chikyuu Haku Memorial Park. It was held to celebrate the release of their new single then called “Cry.” The weather that day was described as really intense heat but in spite of those conditions, some 2,300 people showed up for this special concert. There was a certain order of songs that were supposed to be played but the song Namida Surprise began to play instead. The other members of DiVA which are Sayaka Akimoto, Ayaka Umeda, and Yuka Masuda, surprised Miyazawa by joining the fans in celebrating her birthday with her. Miyazawa was so touched and moved by this extreme act of positivity that she thanked everyone for supporting the band and also mentioned that this is the first time in her life that so many people celebrated her birthday. Sae really felt that people should have put attention on themselves when the day was that hot. Following the performance, the members greeted the fans and stamped an item of each fan’s choosing. The stamps were designed by the members.

Takamina (Minami Takahashi 2005-2016)
As for Minami Takahashi, she was also a member of AKB48 and she is slightly younger than Sae Miyazawa and shorter than her. Minami is only 148 centimeters tall. She was born on April 8, 1991 in Tokyo. She is signed to the Ogi Pro talent agency. She is in Team A of AKB48 as well as a member of the subgroup called No Sleeves. She is known to have a very impressive vocal range. She debuted for AKB48 on December 8, 2005 at the young age of 14. She was one of the lucky 24 girls to be selected because there was massive competition to get in. 7924 people applied for very limited spots! There were written auditions that Minami passed because of her birth date and height. Now that is really something amazing. Maybe they were looking for people to be a certain height perhaps. She received a 5th place ranking in something called the Senbatsu Election. In that same year, she was given the title of captain for Team A. In the 2010 Senbatsu Election, she received a 6th place finish.
In August of 2010, she released her first photo book titled “Takamina.” In April 2012, she was chosen as the new image character for the French cosmetic brand Lancôme. Just after the big concert in the Saitama Super Arena in March 2012, she was one of the first people to know about Atsuko Maeda’s graduation. Takahashi said that the announcement did not really sink in for her but after a handshake Takahashi became convinced that Maeda was serious about leaving the group. Takahashi also mentioned that the decision was not something that Maeda just made recently but that it is something that she has thought about doing for a long time.
In a huge milestone in her career, Takahashi during the second day of the AKB48 concert at the Tokyo Dome made the announcement that she wants to do her own work as a solo singer. She sang a duet with Atsuko Maeda called “Omoide no Hotondo.” During the song, they were holding hands and crying, due to the emotional nature of the moment. Maeda was on the verge of leaving a group that she had been with for a long time. It is really hard when you have to part with people who you have a close relationship with. Then it was officially announced that Takahashi would now be a solo singer. Becoming a solo artist was one of Takahashi’s childhood aspirations. The audience chanted her name and she had difficulty holding back the tears. Her dream has finally been realized and she thanked all the fans for their support. At this time, there are no known details about her solo debut as she embarks on another chapter in her life. This was a look at two talented and beautiful pop music singers.
Minami Takahashi was born on April 8, 1991 and she was the captain of AKB48’s Team A. She had been with the group since 2005 and has been under contract with several labels. Not to be confused with former Morning Musume singer Ai Takahashi, Minami is really cute. She was present when AKB48 was named Tourism Ambassador of Guam on February 14, 2013. She also took the time to speak about AKB48’s 31st single called Sayonara Crawl. She tries to speak in English!
Sayonara Crawl was historic because it sold the most number of copies in a single day at the time (May 22, 2013). It also had four AKB48 members as the centers. They were: Mayu Watanabe (Mayuyu), Tomomi Itano, Takamina, and Haruka Shimazaki.
It was reported back in February 2013 that then AKB48 General Director Minami Takahashi released a video of her solo single called Jane Doe.
And now she has another reason to celebrate. On April 8, she celebrated her 22nd birthday in Tokyo during an event. Before the event, she was told by the staff that only one-third of the expected audience showed up. Upon hearing this, the singer Takahashi was in a state of shock and anxiety. But she later found out that the room was full of 100 of her fans. There was a sigh of relief on her face and the fans were really excited to see that they had succeeded in their intentions to surprise her. During the event, they showed footage of Minami Takahashi’s 5 best sayings all chosen by the staff. Minami then put her technical abilities to use teaching the fans choreography. She even sang the song Jane Doe and danced with the audience. Minami also took a moment to reflect on the past year, describing it as a year that “went by fast” and that it was filled with lots of upheaval. She also said that she wants to make her 22nd year a year that she can look back on and say that it was lots of fun. Takahashi was a member of AKB48 when the group sold 20 million singles back in March 2013. Takahashi was also a member of AKB48 when Mayu Watanabe was named center for the single So Long! Besides singing for AKB48, Takahashi was chosen to sing the song Hitomi no Tobira. This is the theme song for The Smurfs 2. Takahashi was named as center for AKB48’s 42nd single called Kuchibiru ni Be My Baby. This would be the last time that she would be named center of a single. Takahashi would graduate from AKB48 after a concert at AKB48 Theater on March 28, 2016. I have already written a tribute post on Takahashi but let me say that although Takamina is cute,
