Japanese women are known for their excellent fashion sense. But one thing that is really interesting is the popularity of miniskirts. With winter upon us, even Japan is cold during this time of year. But in northern Japan, even the school girls take a risk by wearing short skirts in those cold conditions! I don’t know how they do it without their skin freezing and peeling off! They are really brave! As I write this, it is now a cold and cloudy 40F in Saitama, Japan. But with the humidity in the air, it is said that it really feels like 29 degrees! Where I am living, that would be extremely cold. But I do like cold weather unlike many in Southern California.
The fashion trend over the last few years has been miniskirts and shorts. These skirts usually rise about 20 to 30 centimeters above the knees. Japanese women also can wear mini-skirts at the various auto shows as this video shows. A few examples of Japanese race queens are Miho Yoshioka and Saori Yoshikawa.
